Dear IEA Members and supporters,
Following consultation with our members and considering the limited use of the excellent resources available through the IEA website (iea.cc), we believe that IEA could benefit from support to improve our communications to our stakeholders including 1) Member Societies and their members, 2) Sustaining Members, 3) other international organisations with whom we have Memoranda of Understanding, as well as 4) members of the public that could benefit from our publications, webinars, and activities including our triennial world congress (next occurring in London UK August 23-25 2027). We particularly wish to improve our communications through our website, social media channels, and traditional media.
As a not-for-profit, we have limited financial resources, and limited time (being a volunteer-supported organisation) but a wealth of information others can benefit from.
We’re calling for offers to support for developing an operational plan to improve our presence through our website and social media. We’re looking for a partner to help us build a stronger presence with our various stakeholders reflecting our values and vision.
We know that some of our member societies or their contacts have competence in this area, so we invite those of you that do, to submit a project proposal that includes details about
– the qualifications and experience of the people who will work on it,
– the proposed cost
– detailed timeframe to complete this project.
The project is expected to be completed by October 2026. The specifications are below.

Project specifications:
- Following familiarisation with IEA Strategic policies (not to be changed), review of current state of communications (with access and support from stakeholder representatives as required). Communication can be supported by virtual meetings (including use of IEA Zoom channel)
- Comparison of current IEA state with best-case similar organisations (benchmarking)
- Creation of a strategic plan for IEA in the near and medium future.
- Creation of an operational plan for IEA communications including
– Suggestions to reach each strategic goal
– Content suggestions with timelines including which channels to use for what information
– Metrics to measure progress and success
– Management plan
– Reporting process
